Colorado Heritage Dress Code

Why a Dress Code? The goal of our dress code is to glorify God and to be a blessing to our students.

Academic Success It is our observation that in certain life-callings, we are required to “dress for the job” and that being dressed for the job creates an atmosphere of responsibility, professionalism, and dedication.  Colorado Heritage believes this atmosphere of excellence is greatly beneficial for our students’ goals of achieving academic success.  Our research into attire for academic settings has led us to firmly believe that when students dress in clothing that is not their everyday clothing (play cloths, jeans, etc.), but rather in that which is geared towards a professional mindset, the education atmosphere is more conducive for mental alertness and creates a higher dedication and desire to learn.

Modesty Along with creating a successful learning atmosphere, we also desire to maintain an atmosphere of modesty. We understand that modesty has been given many definitions and is approached in many different ways and through many different philosophies. We do not believe that dressing a certain way saves a person’s soul nor can earn “points” with God. Nor do we believe that the human body is in any way sinful in its structure.  We believe that our bodies are “fearfully and wonderfully made” and that our God is an amazing Creator. We respect that there are different personal approaches to modesty among Christians in their private spheres of life. Here at Colorado Heritage, we believe that our dress code is conducive to general modesty without inhibiting personal expression.

Care for Our Students We love our students, and we understand that our dress code is a small part of the way we care for them. Above all, our concern is for their well-being: physical, mental, emotional, and overall - spiritual. We aim to care for our students in these ways, seeking to get to know them, encouraging them, keeping them in prayer.

We often have gently-used dress code items for minimal cost/free at our Reformation Baptist Campus.
