How to apply/re-enroll in our Independent School

Why should you homeschool under the CHESS Independent School?

  • Accountability to a private school institution instead of to a public-school/government institution.

  • Attendance records/other required records maintained by our Independent School instead of by the state.

  • Enrollment in the CHESS Independent School fulfills the State of Colorado compulsory school attendance law. (Compulsory school age for Colorado is age 6 by August 1st. Please see HSLDA.)

  • 15% HSLDA membership Discount: HSLDA is a non-profit advocacy organization that makes homeschooling possible by protecting homeschooling families and equipping them to provide the best educational experience for their children. They have been trusted for over 35 years to care for homeschooling families, safeguarding their freedom and securing the future of home education. Families who are enrolled in our Independent School will be given a code to present to HSLDA to receive a 15% HSLDA membership discount.

IMPORTANT

  • Re-enrollment with the Colorado Heritage Independent School is done on a yearly basis.
