The motto and goal of CHESS is Pursuing the Knowledge of God. The Scriptures reveal to us that we can know God through two means: through His Creation and through His Word. His Creation is sufficient to rightly demand that every knee bow as we see and experience and learn of God’s power, wisdom, beauty and design.
So many people see science as being at odds with a Christian worldview; I couldn’t disagree more! Each year as I teach science classes at CHESS, I develop a deeper appreciation of the incredible engineering skills of our God.
This is my third year as CHESS’ Principal. To be precise, this fall semester of 2017 marks the fifth semester that I have been the Principal for CHESS. I make mention of this seemingly insignificant detail for good reason.

Women’s rights. You have heard that phrase before. The thought behind the phrase is applied in many ways, one of which is women having the “right” to murder their unborn babies through abortion. Women do not have the right to murder another human being.
Homeschooling can be very challenging! Homeschooling special needs children can be even more so! How can we homeschool our special needs children?
Children with special needs are children who need extra help in life due to a medical, emotional, or learning problem. Special needs children, however, are not alone in their need for help.
CHESS is looking for students who are currently taking classes at our academy (or who will be in the Spring 2018 semester) to submit their very best examples of writing to be judged by our Literature Department.
